The Country Club/Steve's Pizza

Thursday was a busy day for me.. My father, uncle and I went up to Brookline to play at "The Country Club"... Brookline Country Club is the oldest Country Club in the United States, it is down right special to be there. The grounds are beautiful, you just feel an aura when you walk into the locker room, knowing the every man that has graced the game of golf has just walked through the same doors you did.. The famous Francis Ouimet's house is right across the street, his intials are carved into a tree along with all the caddies in the 1913 US Open. Ouimet won the Open as a 20 year old kid that hadn't really done anything in golf in the past. He caddied at Brookline, so he knew everything about the course and was a local hero. (Ouimet is the one holding the horseshoe in the picture, after he won the Open). Check out the movie, "The Greatest Game Ever Played", its all about Ouimet and the Open that year. There also was the Ryder Cup there in 1999 I believe, it was one of the best Ryder Cup's, with Justin Leonard dropping the putt to win on the 17th hole. The day was great, it was so nice to be out there with my father, one of our handful of rounds each year that we get to play together... they are always fun, and a good match. I shot 77, doubled 3 holes but played pretty stellar other than that. My pops shot 78, although it did take us a day for us to realize he didn't shoot 76, but instead 2 shots higher.

I came home and headed right to my last basketball game of the year, we played in the Championship game against Ryan's team, but we were lucky that he was a thousand miles away, vacationing in Wisco. It was a really good game, going back and forth for most of the game... We pulled away late and won by around 20, after going on like a 20-0 run to finish the game. All I'm going to say is that I played an almost perfect game... 35 points and a good floor game.

Can we please get a Kobe vs Lebron Championship, so Lebron can back up my arguments of him being the best in the NBA!

Spring Series #3 Brae Burn Country Club

I didn't drop a line about this tourney last week, my game wasn't that good...but I still feel obligated to at least say something, because it was in general a great experience. Although my game sucked, it is always special to play a course that has tremendous history... there is something different about it, almost like golf is put behind the whole history of the place. Brae Burn was one of those places, just outside of Boston, built in 1897 and redesigned by Donald Ross in 1912. Walter Hagen won the 1919 US Open and Bobby Jones the 1928 US Amateur... Just to walk the same grounds as those figures is special, its like if you were able to trot onto the field at the old Yankee Stadium or Fenway. Something you just take for granted. So the course was great, in perfect shape and pretty challenging, especially if you don't know where to put the ball off the tee. Overall my game really wasn't that bad... I started off bogey, birdie (naturally)... then made a double after only being able to advance my ball 4 feet out of the regular rough with a Pitching Wedge (down in a hole), bogeyed a par 5 after that and made two bogies to finish up the front to shoot +5-40... went Birdie-Bogey-Bogey-Birdie to start the back... so I pissed away 2 good holes... made some pars and then finished bogey-bogey-par to shoot 79. I was beat down, 2 hour drive into Boston traffic, up at 4:30am, first round in 90 degree weather, walking the course... I was literally beat down. I was kinda proud I didn't shoot in the 80's, but still not too happy. I did score 25 points and lead our bball team to the Championship after that though! I gtg to work now!

Look forward to playing another historical sight on Thursday with my father and uncle.... "The Country Club" Brookline baby!

Gus "The Bus" Solien

My father and uncle were playing some golf the other day with my little cousin, he's around 10 years old. August is just always straight comedy, he is super witty... He's not a loud kid, but he picks up on everything and always has something funny to say...although sometimes, he is not intending on it to be funny... So they are walking down the fairway before dusk, very quiet night on the golf course, Gus says to Tommy his dad, "Dad... I think I'm becoming a man...", oh ya Gus? Why do you think that?.. "I think I'm becoming a man... I have hair in my nose now, and hair on my balls"

Imagine that conversation with you little kid... good I wish I would have been there, I would have been dying! pissing my pants in the sandtrap..

Straight up, Gus "The Bus" Solien

Woods Hole Pro-Pro

Good evening... I would like to drop a line about the tourney that was played today. It was a Cape Cod chapter Pro-Pro, where two pro's play a best ball. Our teaching pro at the club, Danny Caverly who just won 2008 New England Teacher of the Year this past year, and is a good friend. Danny is a great player with one of the best short games I've ever seen in my life, it is silly good. We played at Woods Hole Golf Club, where my uncle is the president and just had a large part in designing a new pro shop. I've played the course many times, and really enjoy the 5300 yard tricky track.... tricky track....interesting. It was a really fun day, it was a great group, along with Danny was our head pro Sean...so its always a good time to play with your friends. Danny and I shot 68, we made 5 birdies and 2 bogeys including the last hole, some putts could have dropped, but that's golf. We ended up taking tied for 4th out of 20 team's, we won a skin for a birdie that Danny made on the 3rd hole when he casually chipped in. My game was solid, hit my driver stellar.. I believe I shot a generous even. 2 birdies, 2 bogeys... nothing too special at all. Tomorrow is the #4 assistants tourney just outside of boston, have a 8:30 tee time.... and traffic off Cape will be wicked... early morning for sure! Have to go to bed.... Dreaming of making birdies...

---fun fact: I was walking into the living room, when eric threw a frisbee to links and he jumped up and hit my hand with his mouth...hit my finger on his tooth and gave me a pretty nasty cut... quite the goof...

The Hudson Cup (The first "major" of the year)

This is a picture of what I would be doing with the hudson cup if I one....Duxbury Yacht Club is where the Hudson Cup was held this year. It is a super old place, one of the first few in Mass I believe. The pro shop and club house is an old original barn, with very high ceilings and large wooden rafters... pretty cool. Let's get to the first tee...

1- This was the calmest I have been for a tourney this year, I wasn't so much confident, but just relaxed and ready to take on whatever. I was the first up on the tee, and on this hole there was really absolutely no trouble, except getting stuck behind a tree... I stepped up and hit a drive just in the right rough. It was only a gap wedge in, I hit it to about 15 ft just below the hole. The greens were aerated, so there were pretty slow and bumpy. I hit a good putt and it slid right at the hole and caught the lip. Heyyyy I didn't double the first hole! could mean good things... Even

2- Pulled my drive a little left, but into a clearing, so I had a shot to the green...I didn't have much grass under my ball, and I had to get it up over a tree...but I thought it would be no problem, 65 yard lob wedge... I didn't catch it great, and the ball came out low and nailed the tree just ahead 10 yards. I played a great shot from here just to get it on the green and give myself a chance to make par. I left my putt a little short and tapped in for bogey... +1

3- Easy little par 3, only about 150 yards... I probably over thought it, and ended up switching to an 8 iron and trying to hit a little punch in there. I pulled it badly into the greenside bunker. When I got up to my ball, I saw the dirtiest fried egg, buried lay I have had in a really long time. I got the ball out of the bunker, but it couldn't hold the green and rolled over the back. From there I hit a good pitch, left myself 5 feet. I jabbed at that putt and missed it right. Quickly a double... not good at all... +3

4-Short par 5, kinda hot right now after the double.. and I know I need to make the best of this short par 5... I hit a nice cut into the middle of the fairway, hit it hard. I ended up only having like 170 into the green... I hit a solid 7 iron to about 20 feet, and had an easy two putt birdie... +2

5-Hit a 3 iron off the tee of the short par 4, it rolled down a hill into the left rough, wedge in from there... I thought it was right on it, but it got a horrible kick and rolled through the green. Great chip from there, to a foot... tapped it in, par... +2

6-Made a pretty poor choice here, and pulled driver on a hole that I really shouldn't have. I had never seen the course, so I didn't have much of an idea of what was ahead of me. I pulled the drive badly across the fairway of the pervious hole.. It took awhile to find the ball, and I got a really lucky break. My ball was right on the OB line, but someone had pulled one of the stakes out of the ground, so it was just laying there, if it had been upright I would have been OB, but the next stake was a little father back so my ball was in... I knocked my ball from the trees, to the rough just off the green. My chip shot rolled 10 feet by and I made a clutch par putt coming back. I got away with one there... +2

7-I should have hit 3 wood here, but instead hit 3 iron, pulled it left into the rough... from there I only had 150 downwind, from a great lie... I decided on a full PW from there, once I hit it, I knew it had to get down... I caught a flier out of there, and it flew the green from 150yards.. amazing... it bounced and ended up out of bounds....I knew it, and had to drop one from there... hitting 4... I just missed the green, putted from the fringe to a foot and knocked it in... another quick double, the golf gods were getting me back for the pervious good fortune... +4

8-I knew there was no way to contend at this tourney if I wasn't around Par, the scores were going to be low today... It wasn't looking like I was going to be there. Another par 5, must make birdie.. Hit a good drive down the left side, had about 240 into the green. Pulled out my rescue club and knocked it on the green, really good shot..Once again, easy 2 putt birdie.. great to get a stroke back... +3

9- 220 yard par 3...really tough hole into the wind, I ripped a 3 iron that landed about a foot from the hole..but bounced hard off the back of the green...It was a really good shot, from there I had a tight little chip. I hit a great shot to about a foot and a half, just had to knock that in and get out of the front with a 39... stepped up confidently, stroked that tiny little putt and didn't even hit the hole.. pulled it dead left and made bogey... fucking 40... I was about to pack it in.... +4-40 on the front.

10- Wasn't talking much at this point, I was upset with myself about playing like this on such an easy track... I knew I had to make some birdies on the back... Pulled driver again on a short hole, pushed it right... it hit a tree and easily could have bounced OB....but it stayed in, I got a drop out of some GUR (ground under repair). hit a low skipper, punch lob wedge to about 7 feet... needed this putt! It was a little right to left slider, dropped it in the low side... birdie... +3

11- Real good hole, with water on both sides... just played it safe and hit a 3 iron down the middle... I had a 7 iron into the green, I hit it right on the stick, just 15 feet short... This shot, right at it... felt really good. I could feel myself start to get going at this point. I unconsciously stood up and put the putt right dead in the heart, another birdie.... +2

12- Another long par 3... I hit a 4 iron in, made another real good swing... to about 35 feet pin high... Lagged it up there nice, and tapped in for par... +2

13- Long long par 5, solid hole, water down most of the left side with a huge tree blocking shots into the green. Pumped a driver down the middle, killed a 3 wood down the right side and still had a half lob wedge in... At this point if I could get another birdie, I would be rolling...just set... I played a pretty good little shot in there to about 10 feet...this was a huge putt... I hung it out right and it just wouldn't come back, missed it... missed chance... par +2

14- Pushed a drive right, but got away with a shot to the green from the trees... punched a PW through the trees and it rolled to the back of the green. This wasn't a putt I could go at, but a downhill 40 footer that I just needed to cozy up there.. I did just that. My putting has really been the heart of my game recently, and I probably haven't been able to say that for over 5 years.. It feels really good standing over putts. I 2 putted and made par... +2

15- This was a long, but wide open par 5... I tried to kill this drive, and I did... center stripe, it was really good. I was bout a yard behind the 250 plate with a 3 wood in my hands... this was going to be a really important shot, I took my time, stepping away before I hit my shot because of the strong wind into me. Made the best swing of the day by far, couldn't have struck it any better, nice high draw into the green, landing just on the front edge and rolling up to just inside 20 feet. Eagle putt here, last thing I think before every eagle, "never leave an eagle putt short", It was a right to left putt, right after I hit the putt I thought I missed it because I didn't start it high enough, as it got about 3 feet from the hole, it broke back to right at the end and dropped in... HUGE EAGLE... really really clutch... got me back to even... Even

16- Best drive of the day here, little fade into the middle of a dogleg right. Had a full PW in from here, to an elevated green that slopped heavily just off the green. I pulled it a little, but got away with it when it hit on the left side and rolled towards the hole to the right. 20 foot left to right slider... I was in the fucking zone.... that putt never left the center of the hole, I was rolling the rock kids, boss of the moss.. birdie... -1.... I had gotten back 5 shots in 7 holes... don't know if I have even gotten on that kind of run before.

17- Tough little par 3... pulled a 4 iron over the green to left, bad mistake here... had no grass under my ball and had to play a cute little shot to the hole that was straight downhill... I chunked it, pretty much the first poor chip shot all day... that left me with a 40 ft straight downhill putt, I played it was great touch and it only rolled by 3 feet... I need this putt for bogey, told myself that I couldn't make double... and I didn't... bogey.. Even

18- Pretty easy closing hole, if you hit a good drive... I nutted one right down the pipe, perfect... left me like 60 yards into the green. I wanted to make another birdie here badly, I hit a pretty good shot in, but it ended up a little short, leaving myself with 15ft. up the hill.... I made a good run at it, but it slid just right.. easy par... Even-32 on the back..

I had battled back from a frankly terrible front 9 on an easy course, with one of the better 9 holes of golf I've played in quite some time. Although I didn't perform as well as I wanted, it was really encouraging to battle like that, and score like that on the back. I ended up taking 5th place, and making $300... and I believe I'm still in the lead for the player of the year... all positive!
----Had a basketball game tonight as well, we scored 110 points... I scored around 30, with at least 6 three's... so my stroke was working in many different ways tonight... Goodnight!

Correction: Greatest 3 of all time?

Got a swift kick in the balls going into work today, after I walked in...my pro, explained to me that I had not made a hole in one, but instead a par, 3. By USGA rules, when I approached the ball the first time, I then was to have marked my both within 10 seconds of approaching the ball. Because I waited more than this "reasonable" amount of time, and my ball eventually dropped in the hole... along with me not then realizing the mistake and replacing my ball where it was before it fell in before holing the ball... I was assessed a two stroke penalty, equating in a par 3. Sooooo quite the change of events....Although probably not technically a hole in one, In my book of life, titled, "The Life of Carson Solien", I stroke a golf ball once, and it ended up in the bottom of the hole. Hole in One? Funny fact..... That "This could ALMOST be a perfect day, enjoy it" fortune cookie, somehow turned out to be even more ironic! fucking A... And really wish I had waiting until after work today, to write that post about "The greatest hole in one ever made", I thought about taking it down and saving myself the embarrassment...but decided to let the story live on into eternity. I'm ready to finish this lovely day. Pretty sure I would have had a swift kick in the balls literally. Goodnight!

18-2b/10 Ball Falls into Hole After Being Addressed
Q. A player’s ball overhangs the lip of the hole. He addresses the ball and it falls into the hole. What is the ruling?

A. The ball is not holed. The player incurs a penalty stroke and the ball must be replaced. Although Rule 16-2 applies when a player’s ball overhangs the lip of the hole, Rule 18-2b, which specifically applies when a player’s ball moves after he has addressed it, overrides Rule 16-2 in this case.

Greatest Hole in One of all time....

This is the fortune cookie, hard to read... but it says "This could be an almost perfect day, enjoy it!"
This is a recreation of what my ball looked like when it was sitting on the lip, although this pic gives it no justice, cuz my ball was hanging over even more!
This is an actually picture of my ball in the hole, a minute after it dropped in!

I've hit so many golf shots over my lifetime, so many par 3's I've played, hundreds of thousands... you'd think with a good golf game and that many chances, you'd knock one in eventually. I mean my uncle Greg has played golf twice in his life and has a fucking hole in one. WTF... I had been close, I've hit the pin a couple times... one time my ball ended up directly behind the hole about an inch away. Sunday, May 10th was a different day...I got off work a little early, to go pick up an old friend of mine, Joe Coyne, who was coming into town for a couple of days. After he got here, we pretty much just wanted to go straight to the course to play some holes... I was waiting for Joe to get ready, so I grabbed a fortune cookie from the pervious nights sushi dinner.. I cracked it open and read, "This could be an almost perfect day, enjoy it!".......... I read it to Joe, and said "You know what this means? This means, I'm going to get really really close to making a hole in one, but it's not going to go in"... honest to god, I said this right before leaving the house....Ryan, Joe and I headed to the course, not knowing it would be a day, that I will never forget. The front nine was nothing to speak of, we were all out there enjoying the day and each others company... good golf was far from our mines, the scorecards were littered with doubles and bogeys. We made the turn and vowed to play better. When we got to the tee on #13, I was the first to hit... the hole is one of the more difficult par 3's at Willowbend, especially because the pin was back on top of a shelf, on a 2 tiered green. It was probably playing about 180 or so all the way back to the pin, I grabbed a six iron and was first to hit. I hit it good, started a little right of the pin and drew right back in at the stick, I didn't say anything in the air, actually the whole time, until it came to rest... Because the pin is all the way back, and elevated on the top tier, you can't see that well where the ball actually was.... it looked really close though, Joe asked if I thought it was a bit long, "No, pretty sure it's right on it" I said. They both hit and we ventured up to the green to see where it was... When we drove up, we were in disbelief... "It has to be resting against the flagstick" said Joe.... we got a closer look, it wasn't..... the ball was literally hanging half was over the hole.... I saw this an immediately remember what I had said about the fortune cookie! We were going crazy, how is there any way that this ball isn't in the hole!!!!!! It was a really windy day, so there was still a shot... Ryan chipped up from off the green, and I went to fix my ball mark... Joe got a closer look at the ball, and said that he thought it was still moving...ever so slightly....Ryan, Joe and I took a couple steps back and just watched... Like it was slow motion.... the ball slowing dropped in the hole as we stood just 15 ft away. There were man hugs to go around, we went absolutely crazy...jumping for joy!!! It was one of the greatest moments of my life, such a crazy chain of events... I will never forget that day, for the rest of my life! I didn't want my hole in one to be part of a horrible round, so I made 2 more birdies coming in and shot 33 on the back... 41-33= 74.... My 47th stroke that day, was a gift from god.
--funny fact, I ended up playing the ball I had made the hole in one with the rest of the round...only because we had ran out of balls on the front, and this was the only ball I had left! hahah, yes I still have it!

Heyyyy Mamaaaa!

Ohhhhh what a day! A day to celebrate the most beautiful women on the planet.... YO MOTHA! Naturally we don't ever come to truly appreciate your mother until you grow in age. As every year passes, I realize more and more how amazing my mother is. I couldn't and wouldn't ever ask for a better mom... If you know my mom, you know she is just cool shit... she is chill as hell, at least now that she doesn't have me around the house to give her hell. Nah but I really was a little punk when I was younger, mostly just to her...But she has pushed me for everything that I have done, and I am almost positive I wouldn't have been able to achieve what I have, without her ENDLESS nagging... ha, I love you! She'll do anything for me, except for things that I can do for myself... and that's the way it should be... If I need to help with anything, she's always there. The thing I look up to most about my mom, is the way that she looks at everyday... Maybe it is the old hippie in her, but she wakes up everyday thinking that today is going to be a good day. I try to do the same, its hard somedays, but it just seems to rub off on you day after day. I don't tell her how much I appreciate her enough, i don't know if that's possible. I don't tell her how much I love her enough, there's not enough words. But today is your day mom, and I want you to know that your the best and I love you very much!

---Happy Mother's day all you sexy mamaaaa's

Sophie's 4th Bday!

Today is Sophie's 4th birthday.... and she has no fucking idea!

Although she did tell me to take this picture of her becoming an old women....

Bill Simmons for Timberwolves GM!

I've mentioned Bill Simmons in the past, touching on a few of his nice little pokes at sports figures. Simmons is an ESPN writer that is slowing becoming one of the most intriguing sportswriters of the future. I've known about him for a couple years now, but not until recently have I really become attached to him and his commentary. He is a genius, simply put... he is really really special. You don't have to enjoy sports, to enjoy his stuff...but you do have to known his whole deal, because a lot of his stuff deals with inside jokes among his friends..you catch on quick. Bill has a huge archive of podcasts on iTunes, his show is call the BS report... you have to look it up and at least give it a run. His favorite topics are mostly based around sports, but he goes on like 30 min rants about movies, music and celebs. He does some really fun podcasts on the MTV reality shows like Real World and the challenge shows... it's comical... I'll cut to the point... Simmons specializes in NBA matter, he is coming out with a 700 page book called, "The book of basketball"...so he therefore declares that he knows everything there is to know about the dynamics of the NBA and how to put together a good franchise. Because of this fact, he is convinced that he would be a great GM of an NBA team... Recently, he is getting serious about this campaign and has "thrown his name" into curent open GM positions in the NBA...one of which, being, the Minnesota Timberwolves.. And I can honestly say as a life long T-wolves fan, there isn't anyone I'd rather get that job. After listening to him talk about the league for endless hours, I'm convinced. Simmons recently did a Q &A with a Minneapolis Star Tribune writer, here's some great points he makes.
- "How do you stand out in a 30-team league? Hey, here’s an idea: By thinking unconventionally and picking someone who has a real connection with fans, understands how they think and will do everything possible to keep them caring about the team. You build a fan base by winning and by connecting with your fans."
-Minnesota hasn’t had a game plan really ever. The team overpaid the wrong guys, panicked again and again and antagonized its fans. I will never do that. Ever. Hell, I have even made the following offer: I will sign a three-year deal with the numbers for the second and third year to be determined … for the first year, I will work for free. Just let me write a book about being the GM. That’s my only demand.
-I feel like Boston owes ‘Sota for KG, Big Papi and Randy Moss. It’s about time we gave you something back. So what better than me, the former Boston Sports Guy? Come on, you have to admit, there’s a certain symmetry here.
-Not to steal from my rant on today’s podcast, but let’s say Minny hires me. Wouldn’t “Timberwolves hire ESPN.com sports columnist as GM” immediately become one of the most talked-about NBA stories of the year? How else would the T-Wolves ever lead PTI or get a cover of Sports Illustrated? It’s just smart business. You are a floundering franchise that needs to get people talking … how do you do this? How do you connect with your fans? How do you make a splash? By hiring me. Obviously you don’t make that move if I’d suck at the job, but that’s thing, I wouldn’t suck at the job. I follow this league as closely and as diligently and as thoughtfully as anyone on the planet. So I didn’t play or coach. So I didn’t get fired from a previous GM job. Who cares?

I would think outside the box, and really, that’s what a team like Minnesota needs from their GM. I would go out to dinner with every [original] Minny season ticket holder — and there can’t be many — in groups of eight or 10 just to let them know that someone appreciates that they stuck with the franchise for this long. I would make a vow that, if we are ever eliminated from the playoffs in any season, from that point on, every home game is half-price and all season ticket holders get a half-price refund on the remaining games so they aren’t paying for crappy tank jobs. I would make myself accountable at every game and via email. I would make a rule that any T-Wolves fan could trade in a jersey of a player no longer on the team and get 40% off a new one. I would have a contest to find two T-Wolves fans to announce all our home games on Timberwolves.com, kinda like Mystery Science Theater but with diehard fans of the team. Etc etc etc. I have a million ideas. Really, you have to be an idea guy to be an NBA GM - you deal with a lot of stuff beyond “Which players should I pick?” And anyone who reads my column knows that I never, ever, EVER run out of ideas.

------Pretty convincing huh? Here are a couple links to a few of his articles...sorry your going to have to copy and paste here...can't get the links to work...

Vince Toma

Yo- just got wind of this video... wanted to put it up, just to rep Vinnie.. Good friend of mine for a bit now, have mad respect for his creativity and ambition, just wanted to let others get a look into his mind... If you know Vince, you'll appreciate this video...if you don't know him, you'll come away with a little bit of the person he is. Another good friend Ric Remington put this together and is a nice up and coming filmmaker in the Madison area. I plan on putting up a couple music video he has produced in the future.

Mr. Farve....

As a young kid growing up in Minnesota, I naturally was a Viking fan... there were some good years growing up, Cris Carter, Anthony Carter, Robert Smith, John Randle, Randy Moss.. those were the guys that I cheered for every sunday. I don't know if you noticed, but there were no quarterback's in that group...there never has been, the closest the vikings have had to a quarterback was Daunte Culpepper, and he was pretty much a lineman. So I grew up in Minny, rooting for the vikings... twice a year they played the Packers and Brett Farve. Twice a year my dad and I sat and watched Brett pick apart the annually horrible Minnesota secondary. I sat and watched this guy sling the ball around the field, break away from 4 defenders and flick a behind the back pass to a receiver. The guy has single handily beat the Vikes and pretty much every other team at one point or another. Then I moved to Wisco and at this point realized that this guy is a fuckin god... everything revolves around #4. It's Farve, Cheese,Beer, and more Farve. After high school, I went to moved to the Mecca, Green Bay for college. I saw the god around town, mainly at the golf course... I've hit balls on the range next to Farve, I have actually yelled in Brett's backswing on the golf course (not knowing he was just behind me, but he hit it to 10 feet and it didn't even phase him)... Needless to say, when you live in Green Bay...the guy is the mayor.
Alright with all that said, I can get to what today's story lines are... Farve is coming back, Farve is going to be a Viking... I am pretty sure on that, and if that doesn't happen, I'll come back and delete this whole post.. ha.... So everyone has something to say about this whole situation...usually its on a negative note, about how they are so sick of him and that he's just gone too far. Those things may be true... As a die hard Viking fan, here's my take...
-We have never had a decent quarterback
-Who would you rather have at quarterback, Sage Rosenfels, Tarvaris Jackson, John David Booty or BRETT FARVE?
-Yeah, Brett is going to chuck the ball around, he is going to throw interceptions... but so are those other guys...
-I think that if we get Farve, he is going to give the Vikes a digit chance to get to the Super Bowl...they have the best running back in the league, the best run defense in the league and now the best quarterback over 50 in the league.

----I am saying all of this, knowing the fact that there is a very good chance that this blows up in my face... but I'm okay with that.

---It has been raining on Cape, for 4 days... 3 more to come... tourney got cancelled
